I was interacting with someone on Cisco Learning Network a few weeks ago who was dead set on not taking ICND 2 again. He was so close to passing the two times he took it, I didn’t want him to regret not trying at least one more time. Now while I understand there may have been several reasons why he did not want to take it again, I offered some advice and he reached out to me seeking assistance.
I helped him with some struggle areas he had. He let me know that he would be trying the test over again soon, and I will hear back with the news. Today I get an email from him that says this:
“I’m just letting you know that I re-took the ICND2 today and passed with a 947. I want to say thank you, because I was really determined to give up after failing it twice, but your positive support and helpfulness convinced me to try again. I’m glad that’s finally over with, now on to bigger and better things. :)”
This to me is why I got into the IT field in the first place. I am not one of those guys who keeps information to themselves, I share the information. I want people to understand what they are having a hard time understanding. I want to see that lightbulb go off when someone has been struggling with a concept, to me that is the best in the end.
Congrats to you! Welcome to the CCNA world! Good luck on wherever your studies takes you.
